Back on Track

Two blog posts in two weeks? You guys must think I’m going crazy. Turns out, when you have more to do, you’re more efficient with your time! So it’s time to get back on track! There are tons of things I “have to do”, but there are even more things I “want to do”. Blogging is definitely back on the list of wants! It takes me back to the reason I even started a blog. I’ve always loved to write, especially when I’m stressed , and I’ve always loved to help people. Well here I am, stressed and still wanting to help out in any way I can. So I’m writing again!

Running a blog can consume as little or as much time as you want it to. If you want to be successful, bloggers know it takes a lot of time and a ton of effort. It’s not easy! When life happens, it’s easy to put your pages on the back-burner. Sometimes there are things that really just can’t wait! There will be a post later on about my blogging hiatus coming soon. For now, I’m focusing on proving that I’m back on track!

Accountability Partners

A couple weeks back, a friend from college approached me and asked if I’d be interested in being accountability partners. I’ve gotta say, at first I was pretty nervous and really didn’t want to participate. If someone else was checking in on me, they’d know I wasn’t doing as well as I’d like to be doing. Then I started thinking, “Geez, what exactly are my goals for this blog?” I truly didn’t even know what I was blogging for. My niche has kind of been all over the place and I’ve been only semi-active on Instagram and Twitter. The thought of actually writing out my goals and planning posts and social media schedules was frightening. Then something sparked, this blog used to be my everything! I used to sleep, eat, and breathe this thing! What is really holding me back from getting back into the blogging world 100%? I have been the only thing standing in my way. From there, I was more motivated than I’ve been since starting LifeWithElisabeth.com. I guess she helped immediately!

Accountability partners are perfect thing for so many aspects in life. We ALL have goals – eating better, working out 4 days a week, run 3 miles a day, one blog post a week, spend more time with family, use the phone less – the lists go on forever! Big or small, we all have goals.

Goal Diggers

In addition to things we all want to work on, we’ve all got someone in our lives who could use a friend to push them along. Maybe you’re both just starting out to create a new habit, maybe one of you has hit a plateau and the other is fresh in the game. Work together! Whether it’s meeting for coffee once a week, texts or messages with little confidence boosters, or sitting together and actually planning out your schedules together, it works.  If you surround yourself with people who want to lift you higher, it shouldn’t be hard to find someone who can help you out. A huge should out goes to Dom, I’m so lucky to have a friend and accountability partner in you! 🙂
